Behind the Reels: Brand Event Photography and Films at Flipkart’s Glam Up
For two days, Flipkart’s Glam Up turned Bharat Mandapam into a moving, glittering, many-storied thing and our cameras, stills and film, were in the middle of it. This is the story behind the reels: what it takes to cover a room that never repeats itself and how two days became films a brand can live in.

Walk into Flipkart’s Glam Up and the first thing you notice is that nothing stays still. A creator is filming a first impression at one stall; a brand team is closing a collaboration two steps away; a small crowd gathers around a demo and melts away a minute later. For two days at Bharat Mandapam, one of India’s biggest beauty and creator festivals ran at exactly this pace, 100+ brands, 6,000+ creators, a new moment every few seconds. This is the kind of event photography exists for: not to freeze a single planned shot, but to catch something that will never happen the same way twice. It is brand event photography at full stretch, and it is the work we love most.
Glam Up is Flipkart’s celebration of the beauty world, part marketplace, part creator studio, part reunion. Brands build their own zones, creators arrive to discover and film and partnerships form on the floor in real time. It is glossy, it is loud and the energy is the entire point.
A festival this size needs a stage that can hold it, and Bharat Mandapam is built for exactly that. India’s largest convention centre, set in Pragati Maidan at the centre of New Delhi and grand enough to have hosted the 2023 G20 Summit and, this February, the India AI Impact Summit, it gave each brand room for its own world while keeping the whole festival under one roof. Reading a room with no script
There is never just one story at an event like this. There are dozens, running at once and refusing to line up. An influencer meeting a product for the first time. Two teams sketching a partnership on the spot. A reaction that becomes content before anyone thought to plan it. Covering that is not about working a shot list; it is about reading the room, staying inside its rhythm and trusting a team to be in the right corner at the right second. Our people stayed on their feet all day, moving with the festival instead of waiting on it.
Brand Event Photography and Film: What We Were Really After
The posed frames matter, the stage, the backdrops, the branding done right. But they were never the heart of Glam Up. The heart was in motion: the mid-reaction, the mid-sentence, the handshake that meant more than it looked from across the hall. Those are the frames a brand comes back to months later and remembers exactly how the day felt. So those are the ones we went looking for.

Two days, every corner
Glam Up ran on two energies at once. A stage that swung between planned segments and spontaneous ones as each day built and a floor of brand pavilions, each its own small world of noise, colour and conversation. Covering either one properly is a full day’s work. Covering both, at the same time, for two days, takes a team that simply does not leave. That is what we gave it: full presence, first arrival to last goodbye, so the best of both days made it onto a card.
Turning two days into one story
Two days this full leave you with an ocean of footage and much of the craft lives in the edit. We went through all of it, found the moments that sang and built an arc that carried the festival’s energy from the first buzz of the morning to the peak of the afternoon. From that same material came a family of cuts, each with its own job: quick verticals for Reels and Stories, paced for the first few seconds of attention; highlight films that gave each day its shape; and longer pieces for YouTube, for anyone who wanted the fuller story. One shoot, many lives, each built for where it would be seen.
The part that lasts
Long after the last stall is packed down, the reel is what the event becomes. A good one looks effortless and that is exactly the point: the hundred small choices behind it, which moment to keep, how to pace a room that ran on no schedule, where to let it breathe, all vanish into a minute that simply feels right. That is the version of the two days a brand carries forward, the one it shares and remembers the event by.
